We all need to refresh every now and then. Whether you are brand new to yoga or have years of experience this workshop is for anyone interested in fine-tuning his or her practice. You will develop a better awareness of your postural patterns allowing you to get the most out of your regular Yoga classes.
We will break down and examine the movements of the arms and shoulders in poses like plank, side-plank, chatturanga dhandasana and deconstruct the standing and balancing poses to find steadiness (sthira) and ease (sukha). Learn to be strong and confident with advice and techniques to help you progress in your practice.
We will dig deep into the standing poses and trace the relationships, similarities and symmetries to enable smoother transitions in flowing sequences. We will look at how to use props to empower and accomplish more when it comes to challenging poses rather than just struggle through. You'll learn how to adapt poses to suit you and your body. There’ll be opportunities to ask questions and receive individual feedback on your practice. You will be taught uijayi breath and how to correctly use your core muscles during your practice.
Going slower means getting stronger! Learn how to make it all feel easier, to balance effort with surrender, holding on to what is helpful and letting go of the rest.

The summer solstice presents an opportunity to relight any ambitions or wishes that might be sliding to the back of the priority list!
Yin yoga is a slow moving, almost still practice that gently stresses and stretches the connective tissues in the body and challenges the mind to pause and reflect.
We will begin with a deep opening yin practice to make space in the body and mind. Followed by a radiant guided flow to salute the sun and encourage warmth and compassion towards ourselves. The evening will close with a grounding, restorative savasana.

SUMMER YIN YOGA AND SOUND BATH WITH LISA AND TOM Sunday, June 30th 7PM-9PM BOOK ONLINE @ YOGAHUB
Lisa and Tom are back at the Yoga Hub Camden Place with another workshop of sound-infused Yin bliss! Yin yoga is a slow moving, almost still practice that gently stresses and stretches the connective tissues in the body and challenges the mind to pause and reflect. Unravel your physical tension through long mindful holds and release emotional blocks with live sound healing using Tibetan singing bowls and other instruments.
Join us as Lisa creates a Yin yoga practice in resonance with the magical sounds of singing bowls, gongs, and other vibrational instruments played by Tom. In this workshop the Yin yoga practice in combination with the pure therapeutic sound vibrations guides our body to a deeper and more profound level of awareness. The vibrations from the singing bowls allow the body to open and release and as a result we go deeper into the Yin poses.
The evening will close with a short relaxing Sound Bath in supported savasana.
